When the sample arrives, don’t just look at it — measure it. Run through this before you approve:

- Weigh it. Compare front and rear against the agreed target weight.
- Check the finish. Color match, coating evenness, engraving depth and placement, center-cap fit.
- Inspect machining. Bead seat, valve hole, hub face, and any burrs or tool marks.
- Verify trueness. Ask for the runout / balance data, or check it if you’re equipped.
