Custom Yamaha Motorcycle Wheels — From YZF-R1 to TMAX

Two Yamaha worlds, one wheel supplier. On one side, the R-series and MT machines where rotating mass is measured in lap times; on the other, the TMAX, XMAX and NMAX platforms driving one of the strongest scooter custom scenes anywhere. FLEXIMOTO builds custom forged and laced wheelsets for both — fitment engineered per model and confirmed in 3D before production.

Fitment Notes

What Gets Confirmed on a Yamaha Fitment?

Six items are engineered and locked at the 3D rendering stage for your exact model:

Axle & hub interface

Axle diameters, bearing seats and hub geometry specified per model and year — an R1 and an NMAX share nothing but the tuning forks.

Cush drive & sprocket carrier

Chain-driven Yamahas get the rear hub built around the model's cush drive and sprocket carrier, preserving driveline damping as designed.

Rotor mounting

Bolt pattern and offset matched to your calipers — dual-disc R-series fronts included.

ABS sensor provision

Sensor ring accommodation built into the spec so ABS and traction systems keep reading correctly.

Ténéré tube vs tubeless

Traditional laced Ténéré builds run tubes; tubeless requirements are assessed per project before quoting.

TMAX & scooter interfaces

TMAX, XMAX and NMAX use their own hub and final-drive arrangements — specified per model, exactly like any motorcycle project.

Fitment Process

How Fitment Is Guaranteed

One R1 track set or a container of NMAX wheelsets — the process is identical:

1. Send your model and year plus target sizes, tires and finish direction. 2. 3D renderings — every interface engineered for your bike and shown for sign-off. 3. Production to the approved spec. 4. Testing under ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems. 5. Export packing and customs clearance. 6. Tracked shipping to your destination — typical lead ~30 days from contract effect.

The risk sits with the process, not with you

Nothing is produced until you approve the rendering. Every custom wheel carries a warranty, single sample sets are welcome before volume, and an NDA is available for program designs. Payment by T/T; PayPal accepted on sample orders (handling fee applies).

FAQ

Yamaha Wheels — Frequently Asked Questions

Which Yamaha models can you build wheels for?

Wheels are quoted across the Yamaha range — YZF-R1, R6, R7 and R3 supersports; MT-10, MT-09 and MT-07 naked bikes; Tracer sport-tourers; the Ténéré 700; and the TMAX 560, XMAX 300 and NMAX 155 scooter family. Fitment for your exact model and year is confirmed via 3D rendering before production.

Should I choose forged or laced wheels for a Yamaha?

Match the construction to the platform. Forged 6061-T6 aluminum is the pick for R-series, MT and premium TMAX builds where rotating mass matters. Laced wheels with 7-series rims and stainless spokes are the working choice for Ténéré 700 adventure use. Scooter volume programs can also run cast A356.1 for the best batch economics.

Do you build wheels for the TMAX, XMAX and NMAX?

Yes — Yamaha's sport-scooter family is one of the most requested platforms, from one-off TMAX customs to NMAX dealer volume programs. Send the model and year, and the hub and drive interfaces are specified and confirmed per project.

Will custom wheels work with my Yamaha's cush drive and ABS?

Yes. On chain-driven models the rear hub is specified around the cush drive and sprocket carrier, and ABS sensor ring provision is built into the wheel specification — both confirmed in the 3D rendering you approve before production.

What is the minimum order, lead time and warranty?

A single sample set or dealer volume — both are supported. Quotes arrive within 48 hours; typical lead time is around 30 days from contract effect, confirmed per project. Every custom wheel is covered by warranty, with production under ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems and JWL/DOT certification arranged by the buyer with documentation support.
