What We Make

Which Titanium Motorcycle Parts Can Be Made?

Most titanium work on a motorcycle is fasteners: the bolts and nuts you see and touch, and the ones that carry weight you would rather not carry. Grade 5 titanium takes those jobs at a little over half the weight of steel — and can be anodized to match the build.

Anodized grade 5 titanium motorcycle bolt kit

Bolts & fasteners

  • Socket head cap bolts
  • Flanged hex bolts
  • Button head and countersunk bolts
  • Thread, pitch, length and head to your spec

Nuts, washers & kits

  • Axle nuts and sprocket nuts
  • Flange nuts and washers
  • Complete bolt kits for a specific model
  • Kits packed and labeled per bike or per area

Custom titanium parts

  • Made to your dimensioned drawing
  • Axles, spacers, studs and special fasteners
  • Sample made and approved first
  • Then production to the same drawing
Where It Goes

Where Are Titanium Bolts Used on a Motorcycle?

These are the areas riders and builders most often upgrade to titanium on popular sport, naked, adventure and scooter platforms. Your kit can cover one area or the whole bike.

Grade 5 Titanium vs Steel vs Aluminum Bolts

Why grade 5 titanium is the default choice for motorcycle fasteners — and where steel still has the edge. Figures are typical published material values, not test results for a specific part.

A straight word on critical fasteners

Grade 5 titanium is stronger than a class 8.8 steel bolt but not as strong as class 10.9 or 12.9. Where the bike maker specifies a high-tensile steel bolt — some axle, caliper, rotor and engine fasteners — check the specification and torque before swapping, and let your engineer or workshop make that call. Titanium threaded into aluminum should go in with anti-seize to prevent galling, tightened to the bike maker's torque values. If your program needs material certification or test documentation, state it in your request and we will confirm what is available for your project.

Finishes

Which Colours Can Titanium Bolts Be Anodized?

Titanium is coloured by anodizing: the oxide layer grows to a set thickness and light interference produces the colour — there is no dye or paint to chip. That gives a familiar palette rather than any colour you like.

Anodized colours

Gold, bronze, purple, blue and light blue are the common titanium colours — gold and blue are the classic motorcycle choices.

Natural titanium

Raw or polished grey titanium for a factory look, or to sit quietly next to anodized wheels and parts.

Matching your build

Titanium colours come from a different process than aluminum anodizing, so they will be close to — not identical with — anodized wheels or billet parts. Check the finished photos before dispatch.

How It Works

How Are Titanium Motorcycle Bolts Ordered?

FAQ

Titanium Motorcycle Bolts — Questions Buyers Ask

What titanium do you use for motorcycle bolts?

Grade 5 titanium, Ti-6Al-4V (Chinese designation TC4). It is the standard alloy for motorcycle titanium fasteners: about 44% lighter than a steel bolt of the same size, with excellent corrosion resistance.

Are titanium bolts as strong as steel bolts?

Grade 5 titanium has a typical minimum tensile strength of about 895 MPa — above a class 8.8 steel bolt (about 800 MPa) but below class 10.9 (about 1040 MPa) and 12.9. Where the bike maker specifies a high-tensile steel bolt, check the specification and torque before replacing it with titanium.

Can you make a complete titanium bolt kit for my bike?

Yes. Send the brand, model and year, the areas you want covered, and the OEM bolt list or measured samples. Kits can be packed per bike, per area or in bulk for dealers.

Do I need a drawing?

Not for standard fasteners — thread size, pitch, length, head style and quantity are enough. Custom titanium parts need a dimensioned drawing, and a sample is made and approved before production.

Which colours are available?

Titanium is coloured by anodizing, which gives a set palette: gold, bronze, purple, blue and light blue are common, or natural raw or polished titanium. Colours are close to, but not identical with, anodized aluminum wheels and parts.

What is the minimum order?

The work is mainly for brands, dealers and private-label lines; smaller orders are considered case by case. MOQ and lead time depend on the part, size and quantity and are confirmed in your quote.

How should titanium bolts be installed?

Use anti-seize on the threads, especially into aluminum, to prevent galling, and tighten to the bike maker's torque values. Do not over-torque titanium fasteners.

Can titanium bolts ship with my wheels?

Yes. Titanium hardware can be quoted and shipped together with FLEXIMOTO wheels and other parts on one order, photographed for your approval before dispatch, with export and import clearance handled and tracked delivery.
