Swingarms

Custom Motorcycle Swingarms in 6061-T6 Aluminum

A custom motorcycle swingarm is the biggest single CNC part on most builds — and the one that has to agree with the rear wheel, the shock and the chain line at the same time. Swingarms are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to your geometry, for a new model program, a performance build or a wider rear wheel — including scooter swingarms such as one machined for the Yamaha XMAX 300.

  • Pivot-to-axle length, pivot and axle ends to your drawing
  • Shock and linkage mounting points
  • Brake caliper bracket and chain-adjuster provision
  • Finish to your drawing; sample fitted and checked before production

Which Other CNC Motorcycle Parts Can Be Made?

Everything below is machined to your drawing — for a branded parts line, a new model program, or the parts that make a custom build fit together.

Triple clamps & yokes

  • Upper and lower triple clamps
  • Offset and tube diameter to drawing
  • Bar mount and steering-stem provision

Rearsets, levers & controls

  • Rearsets, footpegs and footpeg mounts
  • Brake, clutch and foot levers
  • Control brackets and adapters

Covers, linkages & brackets

  • CVT, oil filter and engine covers, machined from solid plate
  • Rear suspension linkages, lowering links (dogbones)
  • Caliper brackets, water pump housings, spacers and one-off parts

Complete shocks and front forks are made by our suspension partner — see custom motorcycle suspension. Grade 5 titanium bolts and fasteners are on titanium hardware.

Wheel + Swingarm

Why Design the Swingarm and Rear Wheel Together?

A swingarm and a rear wheel meet at the axle, the chain line and the brake. Change one and you often change the other — which is why ordering both from one supplier, on matched drawings, removes a whole class of fitment problems.

Wider rear rim and tyre

A wider rear wheel needs tyre clearance inside the swingarm. Designing both together means the clearance is checked on the drawings, not discovered on the bench.

Chain line and sprocket offset

A wider wheel or a different hub can move the sprocket. Swingarm, hub and sprocket offset are checked against each other before either drawing is approved.

Axle diameter and spacers

Axle size, bearing spacing and spacer lengths have to agree between the rear hub and the swingarm ends. One supplier, one set of numbers.

Brake caliper mounting

Rotor size and offset on the wheel decide where the caliper bracket sits on the swingarm. Both are drawn to the same spec.

How It Works

How Are CNC Motorcycle Parts Ordered?

STEP 1

Send drawings

Part drawings, bike model and year, quantities, material and finish — plus your rear wheel spec if a swingarm is involved.

STEP 2

Quote

Price, MOQ, sample timing and lead time per part, within 48 working hours once your details are complete.

STEP 3

Sample

A sample is machined from your drawing for you to fit and check on the bike.

STEP 4

Production

Starts only after you approve the sample, to the same drawing.

STEP 5

Photos & shipping

Finished parts photographed for your approval, then packed — with your wheels if ordered — and shipped with tracking.

A straight word on load-bearing parts

Swingarms, triple clamps and linkages carry the bike. They are made to the drawing you approve, and the sample stage is where you fit, check and test the design on your motorcycle before any volume is produced. If your program needs specific test reports or certification for your market, state it in your request and we will confirm what is available for your project.

Before You Send

What Should Your Drawing Include?

Swingarm geometry

Product groups16 — swingarm kits, CVT crankcase covers, CVT filter covers, oil tank covers, oil filter covers, air filter covers, water pump housings and rear axle nut covers
Swingarm kitsSupplied with 2-piston 84 mm or 4-piston 100 mm brake calipers
FinishesAbout 100 colour lines — silver and two-tone anodized combinations such as black–silver, blue–silver and purple–silver, with the customer's logo in the specified colour
New designs9 of the 16 groups were new designs: a prototype was made and approved by the customer before mass production
Launch samplesPriority sets in five finishes prepared ahead of the main order for the customer's trade-show launch

FAQ

CNC Motorcycle Parts & Swingarms — Questions Buyers Ask

Who makes the CNC parts and swingarms?

Custom wheels are FLEXIMOTO's core product. Swingarms and CNC parts are made by a vetted CNC partner factory and coordinated by FLEXIMOTO, so you deal with one contact and receive one quote for wheels and parts.

What material are the swingarms made from?

Swingarms are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, to your drawing. Material and finish for other CNC parts are specified on your drawing and confirmed in your quote.

Do you make swingarms and parts for scooters?

Yes. Scooter swingarm kits and billet parts are a regular part of the work — for example swingarms, CVT covers, oil filter covers and water pump housings for the Yamaha XMAX, Yamaha NMAX and Honda FORZA, made to drawing for a private-label brand. Send the drawing with your model and year, and fitment is confirmed on the sample before production.

Can the swingarm be designed around a wider rear wheel?

Yes, if you order the wheel and swingarm together. A wider rear rim and tyre can change tyre clearance, chain line, axle and brake mounting, so the wheel and swingarm drawings are checked against each other before either is approved.

Do I need a drawing to order CNC motorcycle parts?

Yes. Every part is made to a drawing. A sample is machined from your drawing first, you fit and check it on your bike, and production starts only after you approve it.

Do you take small or one-off CNC orders?

The work is mainly brand and OEM programs. Small and one-off orders are considered case by case when complete drawings are available. MOQ and lead time depend on the part and are confirmed in your quote.

Can I see the parts before they ship?

Yes. Finished parts are photographed and sent for your approval before dispatch, the same as wheels.

Will the anodized colour match my wheels?

You can specify the same colour, but wheels and parts are finished in separate batches, so an exact match is not guaranteed. If a close match matters, say so in your request and check the finished photos before dispatch.

Can you make lowering links (dogbones)?

Yes. Lowering links, also called dogbones, are CNC-machined to your drawing and anodized in the colour you specify. The link length sets how much the rear ride height changes, so it is confirmed on your drawing and checked on the sample before production.

Do you supply shocks and forks too?

Yes — complete shocks and front forks with springs and damping are made by our suspension partner and covered on the custom motorcycle suspension page.
