Motorcycle Wheel Quality Control — You Approve It Before It's Made, and Before It Ships

FLEXIMOTO's motorcycle wheel quality control is built around two approvals that belong to you: the 3D drawing before production starts, and photos of your actual finished wheels before they leave. In between, every wheel is built and checked against that one approved drawing — and after delivery it's backed by a 3-year structural warranty.

Quality Gates

Motorcycle Wheel Quality Control Gates — Where Is Quality Checked, and Who Signs Off?

Six gates from inquiry to after-sales. An order cannot move past a gate until it is cleared — and the gates marked You approve are cleared by you, not by us.

GATE 1

Fitment Confirmation

Model, year and target sizes are checked against fitment data on file. For less common models, we ask for photos or measurements of the current wheel and confirm reliable data exists before quoting.

GATE 2

3D Drawing Approval

One drawing shows design, dimensions, axle and hub interfaces, rotor mounting, drive and ABS provision, finish and logo placement. Production does not start without your sign-off.

GATE 3

Sample Approval (New Cast Molds)

For a new cast design, a mold is developed and a sample produced for your approval before the batch runs — about 2 months, including mold development.

GATE 4

Built to the Approved Drawing

Production works from the approved drawing only — specified material for each construction, your spoke design, your finish. Any change goes back to Gate 2 first.

GATE 5

Inspection & Photo Approval

Finished wheels are checked against the approved drawing — dimensions, interfaces, finish and branding — and photographed so you see the actual wheels before release.

Packing, Clearance & After-Sales

Export-grade packing, export clearance in China and import clearance in your country, tracked delivery — then fitment and installation support and warranty handling after arrival.

What Gets Checked on Each Wheel Type?

The approved drawing is the reference for every construction. These are the points each wheel type is checked against before photos are sent.

Validate Before Volume

Why Does a One-Set Minimum Matter for Quality?

Test it on your own bench. With a minimum order of one set, a dealer or brand can fit, ride and inspect a wheelset before committing to volume — the most honest quality test there is.

Volume runs to the same drawing. Once a sample set is approved, repeat and volume orders are produced to that same approved drawing, so what you tested is what you stock.

Your design stays yours. An NDA is available on request before any drawings are exchanged — for OEM and private-label programs especially.

After Delivery

What Does the Warranty Cover?

3-year structural warranty

Covers the structure of every custom wheel — one sample set or a full production run, same terms.

1-year finish warranty

Covers the surface finish — anodizing, paint or protective coating — applied to your wheels.

What's excluded

Damage from accidents, improper installation, misuse or modification. Professional installation to the bike maker's specifications is strongly recommended.

What we do — and don't — claim

This page describes the checks every order actually goes through. Certification and test documentation varies by product line, so we don't print certificate logos here: if your market requires certificates such as JWL or DOT, state it in your quote request and we will confirm what is available for your project before you order.

FAQ

Quality Control — Frequently Asked Questions

How does FLEXIMOTO check wheels before they ship?

Every finished wheel is checked against the 3D drawing you approved — dimensions, fitment interfaces, finish and logo placement — and photographed so you can approve the actual wheels before they are released for packing and shipment.

Can I approve the design before anything is produced?

Yes. Production never starts until you sign off the 3D drawing, which shows the design, dimensions, hub and fitment interfaces, finish and logo placement. For a new cast design, a sample is also made and approved before the batch runs.

Can I test quality with a single set before ordering volume?

Yes. The minimum order is one set, so dealers and brands can validate fitment, finish and quality on a single set, then order volume to the same approved drawing.

What does the warranty cover?

Every custom wheel carries a 3-year structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty. Damage from accidents, improper installation, misuse or modification is excluded. Send photos and your order details and we review the claim with you.

Are your wheels certified to JWL or DOT?

Certification and test documentation varies by product line. If your market requires certificates such as JWL or DOT, state it in your quote request and we will confirm what is available for your project before you order.
